Sept 23 She Falls

Although it was raining earlier this morning, the weather was supposed to clear up and I had a birthday party to attend for my niece’s son, Alpha, and my nephew, Nick. I had planned on taking the bike, so luckily my niece, Val, offered for me to pitch in on the gifts she bought, so I wouldn’t have to worry about taking anything. That worked out really great.

When I left there was still some rain off to the west and north, but looking dry for my travels, except still overcast yet. I took a round-a-bout way around Fondy, heading south and east, eventually making it to Fourth Street Road and headed close by the Kettles, including taking County S into the south side of Glenbeulah. Before arriving in Glenbeulah, Lori called me and I asked what time it was: only 11:30 and the party started at 1:00. So, I made a pit stop by the Mill Pond and walked around for a bit.

From there I took Cty P and intended on taking Cty J past Road America, however, there was a sign stating road closed. So I continued on P to C through Plymouth and into Sheboygan Falls. It was only 12:20 when I arrived, so I went to the park near their place to kill some more time.

It was a very nice party and great to spend some time with family. Alpha really enjoyed his first birthday, including cake and presents!

From there I took Hwy 32 north to Cty J west and this time I didn’t heed the road closed sign on Cty J and went past RA. There were some porsche’s going around the track. I could hear them earlier when I stopped at the Mill Pond. Turns out the road closed was Cty C which was just torn up and tarred, but I only had to cross it. From Glenbeulah I decided to take Cty C into St. Cloud and CCC into Mt. Calvary, then WH through St. Peter and Lakeshore Drive.

I did use the tracker, but have two maps as I turned it off during the party. It actually turned out to be a gorgeous day and the sun came out before I got to Gleneulah on my way there. Only around 100 miles for today.
