On May 16 we had our monthly and last Bunko before our Summer break. There was no theme except to wear our new Bunko Tees from Tesley Tees. We never even played. However we planned on donating our kiddy money to the FDL Humane Society. I posted a couple of pics on my Friends & Family page.
April 25 Kevin & I attended the Brewers vs. Astros game at Miller Park. Thanks to one of his vendors, Metals USA who offered up their suite. A perfect way to spend a rainy Wednesday, except the Brewers lost 5-7. Click here for a link to the picture taken of our group.
On March 28 I headed for St. Mary's in Rochester MN to meet up with Dad & Candy because Dad finally had his procedure on March 26 to replace the bone in his skull. Dad was doing so well that they discharged him Thursday. I spent the next couple of days with them and Dad kept showing very good signs of improvement every day. He had a total of 44 stitches and apparently a record for anyone staying at his nursing home; however, I told him that it wasn't a contest and he smiled at that. I had a very nice visit with both of them, including the staff at the hospital and home. Click here if you'd like to see a pic of Dad's baseball replica head... ;).
On March 24 I ventured with Kevin and his family to Shiocton to see the Sturgeons spawn. Due to the unseasonable warmer temps we've been having the Sturgeon were spawning early this year. It was a dreary overcast day and once we got there we found out that we may have missed them by one day, but that they were still spawning in New London. So we headed there and sure enough we found a bunch there. It was hard to get good pictures since it was overcast, but I tried enhancing some with PhotoShop. Click here to view them.
I had a really nice Christmas with Kevin and we were able to spend Christmas and a few days with Dad & Canders. I had a really nice visit with them and I posted some pics on my Friends & Family page from our trip to MN, my holiday party, and bell-ringing.
On November 14 Kevin invited me to attend the Packers vs. Viqueens Monday night game at Slambeau Field. Even though it was a nice enough evening it did not matter since we had box club seats. And if it wasn't for a fumble on a punt return on our part, I doubt that the Vikings would have ever made their only points... being 7 against 45. I took a bunch of pics and posted some on my Friends & Family page.
On September 24 I headed to Madison to attend the Badgers vs. South Dakota Coyotes game with Becky and her son Cole. It wasn't the best day (weather wise), but it could have been much worse. As we predicted, the game was pretty much a blow-out with the final score Badgers 59 - SD 10. We had a fun time and I posted some pics on my Friends & Family page. |
