Oct 15 Pardeeville

Well the weather went from 87 on October 1st to the 50s in short order except for one day during the week and I was working, and today was only going to be a high of 53 and cloudy. However, I knew that Kevin would be out on his new Beamer with his heated gear and heated seat. So, I asked if I could join him two-up on his bike since I hadn’t been on it yet and my bike would be way too cold with no wind protection, and he agreed, but asked me to plan a route the night before.

Since I didn’t have much time, I didn’t plan it for very far. Only to Pardeeville with a planned stop for lunch at Johnny B’s BBQ. So he let his friends Steve and Maryann know to see if they could meet us for lunch because it wasn’t far from their place, and they were able to join us.

Much to our surprise, it ended up being mostly sunny the whole way there and we arrived around 11:15, and Steve and Maryann were already there. I was very impressed on how smooth Kevin’s new ride is. Nice! Especially the heated seats!!!

We had a nice lunch and visit with those two, but then had to head out so I could make it back to town for a 2 o’clock birthday party for one of my dear friends from my Park Group, Ellie. We got back right around 1:30, so that worked out great. Only around 130 miles though. And, as of for right now, the projected forecast doesn’t look like any 60s except one day next week and its supposed to rain and while I am working. So disappointed we aren’t having nice enough weather now for me to get out on my own ride. Bummer!
