Oct 9 Northern Kettles

I had planned another fall ride with some folks from the Gratitude Club for last Sunday; however, Mother Nature wasn’t too kind for us that day. So, I moved it to today and although it was still foggy and misting out on my way over there, by the time we were ready to roll it had pretty much sub-sided.

Kevin joined us too and that was great because I planned our route for him to plug into his GPS so that I wouldn’t have to remember every road. Even though once you’re in the Kettle Moraine, its a bit of a moot point since all you need to do is follow the green Scenic Route signs.

We had seven bikes and nine participants.

We took Hwy 45 to Kewaskum and then dropped south of there on some back roads crossing Hwy 45 and then more back roads before getting onto Scenic Drive with a pit stop for some lunch in New Fane at the Rusty Spur.

Although the ride started out not so nice weather-wise, it sure did turn out to be great later on and of course near the end.

A shout out to everyone who trusted me to be their fearless leader once again. Also to Kevin for keeping all of us on route when we got split up and Russ for taking on as the caboose.

Great time, ride and camaraderie!
