June 29 Bike Shopping

We dropped my bike off on Tuesday at my cousins shop because it was still dying when you put it in neutral even with the choke open. He called the next day saying he couldn’t find anything wrong with it; however would keep looking at it. Thursday he called to say he found that my whole clutch system needed to be replaced. I said yes to go ahead since we were shooting for a trip on the bikes for an extended 4th of July weekend to Boscobel and Winona. He was going to order the parts as soon as we got off the phone. We’re cutting it really close since we’re supposed to leave for our trip next Thursday.

Low and behold, its time I get serious about finding a replacement bike and I am heart broken by it. I love riding my bike, but with almost 50,000 miles on it, she’s breaking down.

Kevin picked me up with his bike and we proceeded to Winnebagoland which Had Triumphs and Kaws. All too high as I knew they would be. No matter what I choose I am going to have to lower it since I do not want a cruiser. From there we headed to Ken's in Kaukauna only to find out they closed at noon. We went to the closest Tom’s for lunch and proceeded down the east side of Lake Winnebago home. Almost the same as last weekend, just opposite direction.

I will be going back to Ken’s since they have Hondas.
